Josh Jarrett is a former collegiate basketball standout whose journey has seamlessly blended athletic achievement, personal growth, and impactful community service.
Jarrett transferred to Northwest Christian University (now Bushnell University) from William Jessup University, where he made an immediate impact. In just two seasons, he averaged 17 points and 7.8 rebounds per game, shooting 52% from the field. He earned All-American honors and led the Beacons to a runner-up finish at the USCAA National Championship in 2007. In his senior year, he became the first player in the program’s history to be named First-Team All-Cascade Conference. His 16 double-doubles rank third all-time at the school, and his 17.0 points per game is seventh in school history. After college, Jarrett played professionally in the ABA with the Phoenix Fury and later in Europe. His final competitive season was in 2010 in Cyprus.
In 2024, Jarrett was inducted into the Bushnell University Athletic Hall of Fame, honoring his significant contributions to the men’s basketball program and his exemplary character both on and off the court. Josh Jarrett’s journey reflects a deep commitment to personal growth, community service, and the transformative power of sports. His story continues to inspire those who cross his path, demonstrating how athletic excellence can serve as a platform for broader societal impact.
In 2015, Jarrett relocated to Portland, Oregon, to join The Practice Facility, a basketball training center founded by Josiah Lake and Mark Strom. There, he served as the Performance Training Lead, focusing on one- on-one training, circuit training, and coaching the AAU program. The facility emphasizes character development, academic achievement, and mentorship alongside athletic training. Jarrett’s role allowed him to integrate his passion for basketball with his commitment to community service.
Following his basketball career, Jarrett returned to his hometown in the Tri-Cities to work with his family. He also engaged in short- term mission projects in Guatemala, leading to the founding of The Ezra Project in 2011. This initiative focuses on providing support to
underserved women and children in the mountainous regions of Guatemala, offering them a safe haven and essential services.
